We are pleased to introduce a new line of IC Boxes, the same as our proven Single Ceiling IC Boxes, but that contains a larger junction box (J-Box) approx. 70 cu.in. This volume is more than double the 27 cu. in. of the J-Box used on our original Single Ceiling IC Boxes (measuring 4-7/8”” long x 3-1/8” tall x 1-7/8” deep).
The larger internal J-Box cover (measuring 8“ long x 5-1/4” tall) accommodates larger drivers, and is available with whatever driver mounting and wire passage hole configuration is required.
It’s available in both Reduced Airflow and Ultra Airtight IC Boxes, and made of the same .027” min thickness to comply with UL1598. Like the original J-Box used on our Airtight IC Box, J-Box 70 contains the same features allowing multiples to be secured together to double the volume; click here to learn more about the AT Extender Box , and order item # 1481-92-1.
The J-Boxes contain multiple knockout holes; 9/16”, 7/8” & 1-1/8”, and are made of galvanized steel, .05” min thickness to comply with UL1598.
